Silk Aquatint Technigue Process:
Step 1: Get matte board or cardboard. The sketch is then glues on top and covered with a sheer fabric. The fabric tints the plate dark- just like an aquatint.
Step2: Layers are then applied on top of the sheer fabric. A mixture of matte medium and acylic paint. The thicker the layers the lighter the value will be when printed.
These are examples of printed silk aquatints.
